What is $SANKE
An introduction to Sanke’s native token
$SANKE is the economic layer of the Sanke ecosystem — designed to strengthen the privacy-first wallet experience and align incentives between users, developers, and contributors building on the Kohaku-based privacy stack.
As the first wallet built on Kohaku (a privacy & security framework developed within the Ethereum Foundation with contributions from Vitalik Buterin and leading researchers), Sanke inherits a trustless design philosophy. $SANKE extends this philosophy into the economic layer.
Rather than relying on inflationary emissions, Sanke is structured around real usage of the privacy stack: private transactions, private identities, peer-to-peer dApp connections, and other privacy-preserving flows. As activity increases, $SANKE’s role as the coordinating asset of the ecosystem becomes more important.
The purpose of $SANKE is to:
Align incentives across users, developers, and privacy infrastructure operators
Support sustainable privacy operations without centralized intermediaries
Reward ecosystem contributors tied to real usage, adoption, and growth
Enable future privacy features such as ZK recovery staking, decentralized indexing, or private routing incentives (as introduced in later versions of the protocol)
As usage of private deposits, transfers, local verification, and per-app identity increases, the demand for the underlying privacy infrastructure increases as well — creating a self-reinforcing flywheel around $SANKE.
$SANKE is designed to evolve alongside the Kohaku privacy ecosystem, with utility expanding as more applications, wallets, and protocols integrate the same privacy standards that Sanke pioneers.
